Mary-Jane Liddicoat is a passionate advocate for freedom, fairness, and transparency, bringing a wealth of experience in diplomacy, business, and community leadership to the Heart Party. With a distinguished career that spans both the public and private sectors, she has dedicated her life to standing up for Australians, fighting for their rights, and empowering them to take control of their future.

As a former senior public servant and diplomat, Mary-Jane represented Australia in Japan, Korea, and the Middle East, gaining invaluable international and media experience. With language expertise in Korean, Japanese and Arabic, she has navigated complex global landscapes, offering a unique perspective on governance, economic policy, and international relations.

A staunch defender of human rights and community-driven solutions, Mary-Jane has been at the forefront of major grassroots movements. Between 2020 and 2022, she played a pivotal role in raising awareness around health and the environment, accountability, human rights, and political transparency as the ACT and national organiser of Freedom Day, Millions March, and Convoy to Canberra. She stood alongside everyday Australians to demand truth, justice, and the right to informed choice—principles that led her to run as an ACT Senate candidate for the Informed Medical Options Party (now the Heart Party) in the 2022 Federal Election.

Mary-Jane is also an accomplished entrepreneur and business leader. She has founded and led successful enterprises, earning accolades for her contributions to small business and economic empowerment. Her achievements include receiving the Best New Business award at Canberra Women in Business (2015) and serving as President of the Manuka Business Association. In 2013, her business was recognized with the Australian Bartenders Best Cocktail Bar (ACT) Award.

Currently, as Managing Director of Freedom Financial Solutions (FFS), Mary-Jane helps Australians gain greater control over their superannuation investments while ensuring comprehensive estate planning to protect their families' financial interests. Through this role, she continues her mission to promote financial freedom, self-determination, and informed decision-making.

Beyond her work in business and advocacy, Mary-Jane is also a respected author and publisher. Her book, Syrian Colloquial Arabic: A Functional Course, is a globally recognized linguistic resource, celebrated for its ground breaking approach to language learning. This work reflects her deep commitment to cross-cultural understanding, education, and the power of communication. Mary-Jane holds a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) from the University of Sydney and has further enriched her expertise through studies at prestigious Japanese institutions, supported by both private and government scholarships. She is currently working on a monograph about her father, Australian artist Robert Liddicoat, to ensure his artistic legacy is preserved for future generations.

Above all, Mary-Jane is a devoted mother, raising three young adult children alongside her husband, renowned Korean sculptor Jinho Choi.

With a proven track record of leadership, integrity, and service, Mary-Jane is committed to restoring trust in politics. She stands for transparency, accountability, and the rights of everyday Australians, ensuring that freedom, choice, and justice remain at the heart of our nation's future.
